firstly “sapiosexuality” is a bullshit sexual identity build up around intelligence as society views it, made up by elitist assholes who like to pretend they are more “intelligent” or better than others because they use proper grammar and focus more on people’s personalities and thoughts rather than their looks and also try to speak like sherlock holmes.

secondly that is ableist and racist and classist since people using slang or aave or making grammatical errors or having a lower academical level, to name a few examples, isnt an implication of how “intelligent” they are or if they are well versed.

the societal definition of intelligence is inherently ableist, classist and racist has been used to oppress and discriminate and stigmatize large minority groups.

sapiosexuality is ableist because its mainly harmful to people with mental disabilities like learning and developmental disorders. the implications that sapiosexuality carries is that for example autistic people are unintelligent because we are unable to live up to the to the expectations of neurotypical people in order to prove our intellectual and academic intelligence which are viewed as more valuable and respectable than other forms of intelligence.

thirdly literally what explained as your personal definition of intelligence is “I like people who like the same shit as me” or “I like people who keep up to date with the news” or “people who aren’t bigoted” (when the “knowledgeable” part is “can debate as to why racism or sexism are bad”) or “people who are well-read in areas I’m interested in”

defining those things as intelligence is just incredibly silly/borderline ridiculous and im not saying this to try and insult you im saying this because you should really stop identifying as “sapiosexual” and saying youre attracted to “intelligence” when what you really mean is “I’m interested in people who aren’t ignorant about the struggles of minorities and have a vast general knowledge about the things I’m interested in but can also have long verbal discussions about these things" or “I’m more interested in people’s personalities and interests than their looks”

dont say youre attracted to “intelligence” because that carries the implication that people who you arent attracted to, who aren’t knowledgable in areas youre interested in, are “unintelligent” that’s so elitist like that really is pretentious uni student bullshit

basically thats not being attracted to “intelligence” thats something a large part of the human population experiences because who would want to date someone with whom they have absolutely nothing in common or dont get along with???

also theres nothing wrong with trying to find someone who is physically attractive to you?? literally everyone has different preferences and people i find attractive might be really unattractive to others and vice versa so dont limit yourself to people you dont find physically attractive just because you have similar interests. dont get stuck with some nerd who has bad personal hygiene just bc they can recite plato

its also genuinely okay to be attracted to people in a sexual way only once they open their mouths and talk with you! i dont think many people get sexual attraction for strangers purely based on their looks tbqh
